Mobile Tire Repair Ottawa ("we", "us") provides mobile tire and roadside service in Ottawa and Gatineau. This page explains what personal information we collect, why, and what you can do about it. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
- When you call or text us: your name, phone number, the location where you need service, your vehicle and tire details, the time of your call, and the price and details of the job.
- When you visit this website: basic information about your visit, such as pages viewed, clicks, device and browser type, and general location (city level). This is collected with cookies and similar tools (see below).
We do not ask for or store payment card numbers on this website.
How we use it
- To dispatch a technician, contact you about your appointment, and complete the job.
- To send you receipts, invoices, and appointment confirmations.
- To improve our service and our website.
- To measure how well our advertising works (see below).
Online booking
When you book a tire swap online, we collect your name, mobile phone, email (optional), service address, vehicle, tire size and any sidewall photo you upload, plus the time you choose. We use this only to schedule and complete your service and to contact you about that booking. For example, if you start a booking but don't finish it, we may call or text you about it.
This information is stored in our business Google account (Google Calendar, Gmail, Google Sheets and Google Drive) and shared with our dispatch team and technicians through our internal work chat so they can do the job. We do not send marketing emails or texts without your consent, as required by Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL); a booking confirmation is not marketing. If you use a booking offer code, we only store the offer code and whether it was used. You can ask us to delete your booking information at any time: call (613) 601-6471.
Advertising and analytics
We use these services on this website:
- Google Analytics and Google Ads: to understand how visitors use the site and to count calls and texts that come from our ads.
- Microsoft Clarity: to see how visitors use our pages (for example, where people click and scroll) so we can make the site easier to use.
If you contacted us after clicking one of our ads, we may share your phone number, the time of your call, and the value of the job with Google Ads. We do this only to measure which ads lead to real jobs. Google may process this information in hashed or encrypted form and uses it under its own privacy policy. We do not share your address or vehicle details for advertising.
You can limit ad personalization at Google My Ad Center, opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on, and read how Microsoft handles data in the Microsoft Privacy Statement. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Our technicians and our office, so they can book and complete your service.
- Service providers that help us run the business (for example, phone, messaging, payment, and the advertising and analytics tools listed above).
- Authorities, if the law requires it.
Some of these providers may store information outside Canada, where it may be subject to local laws.
How long we keep it
We keep job and contact records only as long as we need them for service, follow-up questions, accounting, and tax purposes, and then delete them.
Your choices
You can ask us to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it (unless we must keep it by law). You can also ask us to stop using your information for ad measurement. Call us at (613) 601-6471 and we will respond within 30 days.
