The village on the Rideau
Manotick is a village in south Ottawa, south of Riverside South, where the Rideau splits around Long Island. It is not a suburb grid. The historic centre is a few streets, and the newer homes are a separate pocket to the west.
The core is Bridge Street, Mill Street and Dickinson Square, with Watson's Mill beside the river. Curbside parking there is short, and a flat found while you are in the village is easier to fix on the spot than to drive on. Mahogany is the newer community west of the village, off Rideau Valley Drive. Say "village" or "Mahogany" when you call. They are not the same driveway.
Prince of Wales Drive and Rideau Valley Drive are the two roads in from the north. Bankfield Road and Century Road run east-west. Mitch Owens Road is the southern arterial. From Barrhaven, people often come down Prince of Wales. From Riverside South, Rideau Road is the link.
If you are farther south, in Kars or North Gower, or east toward Greely, call and we will tell you if we can make it. Manotick itself is part of the Ottawa area we already travel.
