West of Kanata, in the village
Stittsville is still the City of Ottawa, but it is a separate drive from a call on Eagleson. Stittsville Main Street is the old core. Hazeldean Road runs straight into it from Kanata, which is why a lot of people say "Hazeldean" when they mean the village.
Amberwood is the neighbourhood around the golf course, south of Hazeldean. North and west of Main Street are Granite Ridge, West Ridge, Crossing Bridge and Potter's Key. South toward Fernbank Road are the newer streets, including Jackson Trails and Blackstone. Carp Road is the north-south road on the west side, heading out of the village toward Carp.
From Highway 417, the usual way in is the Palladium / Huntmar exit, then west. Huntmar Drive, Fernbank Road and Shea Road are the other names we need. The Trans Canada Trail and Poole Creek cut through town, so two streets that look connected on a map sometimes are not. A landmark such as the village arena helps.
Kanata is the next community east. If you are already past Stittsville on Carp Road and you are not sure we can make it, call before you wait. We will tell you.
