Barrhaven, south of the Greenbelt
Barrhaven sits between Highway 416 and the Rideau River. It is far enough from a downtown tire shop that driving there on a soft tire is a bad idea. We bring the repair to the car.
North of Strandherd Drive is the older part of Barrhaven: Longfields, the streets off Greenbank, and Jockvale. South of Strandherd are Chapman Mills, Stonebridge and the newer blocks toward the Jock River. Half Moon Bay is the west side, closest to the 416.
The Vimy Memorial Bridge leaves Strandherd Drive and crosses the Rideau into Riverside South. If the tire lets go on the bridge, say which end you can stop at. Highway 416 exits for Barrhaven are Fallowfield and Strandherd.
Parking-lot calls pile up at the shops on Marketplace Avenue and along Strandherd, and at the Minto Recreation Complex on Cambrian Road. Woodroffe Avenue, Greenbank Road, Jockvale Road and Prince of Wales Drive are the north-south roads. Name the cross street when you call.
